The Imaginary Word
January 11, 2007

With the start of every new year, I tend to reevaluate things. This year is no different and, as it turns out, the Imaginary Word is one thing I don't want to lose or let slide away into the ether.

I may not be doing the same format as I was doing but - I can't just let this die.

From here on out, I'll do what I can, when I can and when something is just awesome enough that it absolutely MUST be shared.

Today, I have two things to pass along. Podcasts... a new and interesting tactic in the world of literature. So far, I think I'm enjoying the idea. I can "read" stories while I do the dishes or wait in the car for my husband to pump gas or whereever else I'm of a mind to listen to stories read aloud.

I'll recommend two such places that I've found so far - Escape Pod
and Pseudopod. I haven't yet heard the very latest Escape Pod but the Pseudopod I heard this evening - 019: Through the Many Corridors was absolutely worth the time. To me - it was just the kind of thing I look for in horror.

I'm subscribed now to both (just figuring out this ipod thingy - I'm a bit behind the times I guess) and am looking forward to hearing a great deal more from them both.
