There are occasions when I come across a story that just hits the right chord with me - this is one of those times. Perhaps I'll make a new category - Right Chord... but, over at Escape Pod (one of my favorite pubs) there is a wonderful story that I highly recommend - Stu by Bruce McAllister.

Give it a listen - it's worth the time. There's not much drag and gave me the warm fuzzies the way only certain kinds of stories can... Not the aww how sweet, saccharin syrup of Mama stories or even the notsohappyeverafter warm fuzzies. This is different. This is a warmth of recognition, of something that just strikes close enough to my own beliefs to leave it's mark.

We could, given the proper motivations for the technology we have, do extraordinary things....
