Imaginary Word Mission Statement & Joining Process

All poets, and all poetry, are welcome here.

This community is not just about the writing or the marketing of poetry but the state of it. How much poetry is being read, or listened to? How can poets reach a wider audience? How can we, as poets, explore and come to understand the diversity and beauty of poems from around the world? How can we, as poets, support poetry -- and what can be done through poetry? By reading more of it, by responding to more of it, and by creating more of it. The success of any writing is not always in it's beauty or its message but in its exposure. Let's support those publications and those presses who go out of their way to bring good poetry into the world, support those people and services that bring poets, publications and readers together for their mutual benefit.
